Suitability Assessment and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for Proposed Caustic Pipeline

Gladstone, Queensland

  

This study formed part of an application submitted to the Dept of State Development for construction of a new pipeline connecting wharf facilities with an industrial facility. The proposed pipeline corridor intersected with area’s of conservation significance, including wetlands and endangered ecosystems. Consideration and development of an inclusive environmental management plan (EMP) was required to control and minimise construction and operation impacts.

  

  

Methods employed for this study included:  

• Field survey, drilling and laboratory analysis

• Interpretation of GIS data and vegetation mapping

• Development of EMP controls in consultation with client

• Planning support
