Our History
EGC is a company specialising in environmental, environmental engineering and health and safety consulting services for water, waste, air, groundwater, contaminated land and other geo-environmental applications.
The company (initially called Geophysical Groundwater Prospecting) was founded by Magdalena in 1986 and provided geophysical investigation services for groundwater applications. The hydrogeological projects expanded over the years into exploration projects for the coal, mineral and gold industries.
In 1994 the company changed its name to Environmental Groundwater Consultants Pty Ltd due to the main stream of projects associated with the groundwater management services. The expansion continued with several professionals joining our company and widening it’s services into the areas of environmental engineering, process engineering, occupational health and safety and air quality management.
To incorporate this new area of development, the name of the company was amended to Environmental Ground, Water and Air Consultants Pty Ltd. With the expansion of our services and number of staff members, the Administration Department lead by the Office Manager who is responsible for management of administration for all EGC offices was welcomed with open arms. The new offices were established in Gladstone (2000), Charters Towers (2005) and Adelaide (2005). The Charters Towers office was closed in 2008 due to completion of the associated projects and Launceston office became a new addition to EGC group in August 2008.
From a one person band it grew into a strong, professionally recognised group of specialists in the area of environmental and H&S management. EGC tries to make big plans, aim high in hope and work using all the effort, knowledge, experience and innovation that we can collectively muster to grow both as a team and as individuals.
EGC recently entered an exciting new phase of our operations by joining our services with ADG International consulting engineering group, who focus is on 'value engineering' and 'sustainable design'. See our Recent News page for more details.
